Tower Street and Keyes Street to no longer connect to Hamilton Rd

As part of the decades-long ongoing Hamilton Road widening project, two streets in LaGrange will no longer connect to Hamilton Rd. (US 27).

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Tower Street and Keyes Street will no longer connect to Hamilton Rd. and their connection to the highway will instead become cul-de-sacs.

Work on the project is expected to begin soon and road closures and detour signs are slated to be installed on Tuesday, May 7 to direct the public around the closures.

The detours will remain in place until directed by GDOT or the cul-de-sacs are completed per plans.
