Competing against 20 teams from Virginia, North and South Carolina, Maryland and West Virginia, two Buckingham High teams still placed in the Top Five. Buckingham High’s Co-Ed Raider Team, led by Caroline Browning, finished second at their Best of the Best competition in April, the final event of their season. Held at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, Buckingham finished second overall and brought home trophies in a number of events. That includes second place in the five kilometer run, rope bridge, team physical fitness challenge and litter carry.

Meanwhile, Buckingham High’s male Raider team, led by Tyler Selzer, finished fifth overall in the Male Division.

Buckingham Raiders will graduate five Seniors this year and four are headed towards a career in the U.S. Military. Caroline Browning received a full ride to the University of Virginia and will become a U.S. Army Officer through the ROTC program. Luke Sayer and Alex Boyles enlisted in the U.S. Army and Tyler Selzer enlisted in the U.S. Marines.
