House advances two small business bills sponsored by Rep. McGarvey

Two bills sponsored by U.S. Rep. Morgan McGarvey (R-KY) were unanimously passed in the U.S. House of Representatives this week.

Both of the bills are targeted at helping small businesses. One of them is the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act (H.R. 7985), which would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to submit a report to Congress on challenges faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities. The bill, also sponsored by Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY) will require the SBA to look at resources across the federal government that assist individuals with disabilities.

The other bill that passed is the Agency Accountability Act (H.R. 7103), which would hold federal agencies that fail to meet their small business contracting quotas accountable by requiring them to testify before Congress. This bill was cosponsored by U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN).
