I think this is going to add to the problem of people dumping more animals. It is already out of control. If people can't afford this and already haven't spayed or neutered their dog or cat, you think they will pay this? No. They will be dumping them all or not getting their vaccines in fear of getting fines. I thoroughly support our local shelter in Orangeburg but they have so many dumped and owner surrender dogs they are overwhelmed. No article even says where the money will go they collect for this. The shelters need it the most. I hope it stays with them.

This is total authoritarian, government over reach! 😡 My animals are spayed and neutered but I'm NOT participating in this nonsense! Thanks Jim Clyburn (sarcasm)! Oh, and one 4 hour day to register all the animals??? Democrats can kiss my butt!
