Tron 3 Behind-The-Scenes Shot Reveals Close-Up of Jared Leto

The director of Tron: Ares has shared our best look yet at the sci-fi reboot.

To celebrate wrapping filming, Joachim Rønning posted a behind-the-scenes shot on Instagram. It features Jared Leto sitting in a mechanical contraption - could it be the bones of an iconic lightcycle, pre-CGI?

Rønning captioned the image, “That’s a wrap on TRON:ARES. Thanks to an incredible and tireless crew, I really believe we pushed the filmmaking limits on this movie. Even through six weeks of night shoots you never slowed down. Also, a big thank you to our wonderful cast for leaving everything on screen. I can’t wait to show the world what we’ve done.”

Tron: Ares continues on from the 1982 original, as well as 2010's Tron: Legacy . It follows Ares (Jared Leto), a sophisticated programme who escaped from the digital world into the physical one.

It stars Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and reprising his role, Jeff Bridges.

Tron: Ares is set to release theatrically on October 10, 2025.
