They all need to be replaced. Pendleton needs young and progressive leadership to revitalize the town, too many small businesses are closed and the downtown area, outside of summer and Rodeo season, looks dead most of the year. Not only that, but seriously high rents for businesses is stupidly enforced

Tackling North Main is just not in the cards. It’s just too expensive because of modifications that will include bike lanes deemed necessary by city officials to handle that heavy bike traffic up and down North Main. Incidentally, bike lanes will not be included in the Despain project. Evidently north hill bike riders prefer the steep hills versus the flat ground on Despain.
