‘I’ve Heard Some of You Guys Like It Spicy’: Cindy Crawford Gifts TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ Squad a Shipment of Jalapeño-Infused Casamigas Tequila

Last night, the squad on TNT's "Inside the NBA" was graced with another high-profile tequila shipment courtesy of the famous model, Cindy Crawford. This time around, however, things got a little defensive. In years past, George Clooney and Rande Gerber's Casamigos Tequila has been a frequent sight on the show. In April 2023, Clooney sent over a 20-bottle case of his liquor brand complete with personalized notes for each of the hosts. Shaquille O'Neal's note read, “You’re the real Superman," while Charles Barkley's simply said, "Charles, I've seen you play golf." Since then, Casamigos has hit the market with a new jalapeño-infused expression dubbed " Casamigas " in honor of Crawford, who is married to Gerber. Commemorating the launch, Crawford tuned into Monday's show via a pre-recorded message with kind words and a gift.

"Hey Kenny, I just wanted you to know that the guys at Casamigos heard your request. But don't you think it's time to spice things up a bit?" Crawford said on the show. "I heard some of you guys like it spicy — I might be talking to you, Shaq. Anyway, your new playoff sponsor is waiting in the wings. Enjoy!"

Lo and behold, a green forklift drives in from offstage carrying a giant pallet of tequila. An eager Kenny Smith walks over singing and dancing to unwrap the package, until Shaq quickly shoos him away. Barkley also makes a play at the bottles, only to be swatted by a quick slap to the hands.

"Back off!" declared Shaq. "It's mine, don't touch it."

Casamigas is one of several releases from the brand following its acquisition by spirits giant Diageo for $1 billion in 2017. Over the past few years, the brand has maintained momentum with a mezcal bottling and a recently unveiled cristalino expression.

“A few years ago, Rande and I were watching the sunset and we talked about how fun it would be for me to do a spicy tequila. Voila—Casamigas was born,” Crawford said at launch. “As much as I love Casamigos, my go-to drink for a fun night is a skinny, spicy Casamigos margarita. Casamigas Jalapeño makes it that much easier. It’s Casamigos with a kick!”
