MORRISTOWN, N.J. - Alex Bravo-Castro was arrested on charges of distributing and possessing cocaine in Morristown, New Jersey. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office announced that Bravo-Castro is accused of distributing approximately 350 grams of cocaine on August 29, 2024, an amount with an estimated street value of $27,000.

Osage Beach, MO

A mother of six Missouri police officer was killed after losing control of her patrol vehicle during a high-speed chase stemming from a would-be traffic stop. Osage Beach Officer Phylicia Carson, 33, pursued a vehicle speeding down a rural highway near the Lake of the Ozarks before skidding off the road and crashing into a tree, at which point her car ignited in flames, Chief Todd Davis announced during a press conference on Saturday (August 31). The department received a report of a fire on the highway where Carson was pursuing the speeding vehicle and made unsuccessful attempts to contact her.

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department is releasing the name of the man killed in a shooting on the city's south side on Sunday. Police say the victim is 21 year-old Tariq Reynolds. Investigators say the shooting happened Sunday afternoon as Reynolds was trying to intervene during an argument between two men, one of whom was 19 year-old Martavius Green of Atlanta. Reynolds was shot during the argument and later died of his injuries.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- Two students were injured when they were hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle yesterday. The Harrisburg School District says the two were struck while crossing Division Street on a bike in the afternoon. Officials said the vehicle had the right of way. The students reportedly sustained minor injuries and are expected to be ok.

A three-vehicle collision on Labor Day Monday has taken the life of a Napoleon woman. The accident took place at the intersection of U.S. 24 and Henry County Road 17-D, outside of Okolona. The Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 1:23pm on September 2nd, when 90 year old Harriet Schroeder of Napoleon was southbound on road 17-D. Schroeder stopped at the intersection of U.S. 24, but her vehicle was struck from behind, by an auto driven by 38 year old Christopher Borstelman of Defiance. The collision pushed the Schroeder vehicle onto U.S. 24, where it was struck by a westbound semi, driven by an Ontario, Canada man. Harriet Schroeder sustained critical injuries in the accident; and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, and Christopher Borstelman were both treated at the scene, and released. The Highway Patrol reports alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.

Last week, two individuals from Coffee County were charged with trafficking methamphetamine following a search at a residence on Willacoochee Highway. On August 13, detectives with the Coffee County Drug Unit conducted an operation involving Charles Black, which led to a search of his residence on Willacoochee Highway. According to the report, Black left his residence before the warrant was served and was subsequently detained.

(Buchanan County, IA) -- One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Buchanan County. The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office says 29 year-old Kyle Decker of Winthrop was killed after losing control of the vehicle he was driving, crossing the center line north of Walker, Iowa, and going off the road, eventually landing overturned in a ditch. Investigators say Decker was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

A 40-year-old man from Woodbine, Maryland, Robert Buck, has been arrested in connection with the theft of over $3,000 worth of fragrances from an Ulta Beauty store in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The theft took place on July 29, 2023, when Buck, along with two other men, allegedly stole various fragrances from the store. The trio was caught on surveillance footage gathering fragrances from shelves across the store and placing them in bags before leaving.
