Kendrick Lamar and Drake 's rap battle beef has pretty much taken over whether we’d like it to or not. Siding with the latter, Questlove recently spoke about being less than impressed about the whole thing.

Taking to social to share his thoughts, The Roots drummer criticized the buzzed about rap battle by declaring that its mere existence means Hip-Hop is “truly dead.”

Where his issue lies, as Quest explained, is with the way both rappers have conducted themselves and approached their respective diss songs. Dragging each other’s family members into the feud and making outrageous yet unsubstantiated allegations.

Which, correct, both Kendrick and Drake are very guilty of. On “Family Matters,” Drizzy suggested one of Kendrick's kids might actually belong to his longtime manager and partner Dave Free , and even accused him of beating his fiancée Whitney Alford . While Kendrick accused Drake of being a sex predator, and claimed he secretly has an 11-year-old daughter who he neglects, among many other things.

“Nobody won the war,” he wrote. “This wasn’t about skill. This was a wrestling match level mudslinging and takedown by any means necessary — women & children (& actual facts) be damned. Same audience wanting blood will soon put up ‘rip’ posts like they weren’t part of the problem. Hip Hop truly is dead.”

Doubling down on his stance Questlove captioned the post, “Here We Are Now… Entertain us?” Check out the post below.
