    Defiance County grand jury returns nine indictments

    A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against nine persons, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office.

    Indicted were:

    • Carl Hagerman, 44, 13013 Dohoney Road, for three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), second- and third-degree felonies; aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a second-degree felony; and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

    • Nathan Gallant, 32, 06234 Domersville Road, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a third-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • Duane Larkin, 49, 1394 Jackson Ave., for aggravated trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), a third-degree felony.

    • Anthony Young, 20, Napoleon, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 25 Young fled from a traffic stop on Defiance’s South Jefferson Avenue, fleeing from police at speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour. Authorities further allege that the pursuit eventually entered into Henry County where Young later was taken into custody.

    • Dominic Culver, 24, Toledo, for menacing by stalking, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that from April 1-23, he engaged in a pattern of conduct that caused another person to believe he would cause the victim or family physical harm and/or mental distress. He also allegedly trespassed on the land or premises where the victim works and/or lives.

    • Joshua Polanco Jr., 21, 1370 Moll Ave. for three counts of failure to provide notice of change in vehicle information or identifiers, each a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege from Nov. 21-April 16, Polanco, a registered sex offender, failed to register changes in his email address, internet identifiers, or telephone number, as required.

    • Brian Adkins Jr., 35, Bryan, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony, and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • Tina Goings, 57, 852 Clinton St., for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), fifth-degree felony; and OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • Daniel Mendoza, 40, 2319 S. Clinton St. for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.
