I received the Working for an Even Better Wilsonville publication from the city recently. Reading it I was impressed with the amount of progress the city has made since 1992 — years before I even moved to Wilsonville. The vision set up in the Year 2000 Urban Renewal District could only be met by having a committed group of city leaders who had consistency and longevity to pursue a path for 30 years. Having the ability to see a vision through takes not only a commitment from our city leaders, but it also takes knowledge of mechanisms such as urban renewal districts and relationships with an untold number of city, county, regional, state and federal counterparts who can be relied upon to support the vision. It is important that our city councilors and mayor have the time and ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for the benefit of our city. I encourage you to vote yes, yes and yes on the three measures (3-605, 3-608, & 3-609) on the ballot this May.
