    Arthur-Gray receives doctorate

    Mathew Arthur-Gray, of Park Falls, was recently awarded a Doctor of Education degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, according to a university press release.

    Arthur-Gray's doctoral research centered on the transformative impact of nonprofits on the educational journeys of transgender youth, according to the announcement. The accomplishment demonstrates a commitment to leveraging education to drive social change.

    Arthur-Gray is currently residing in New York City with his husband, Aaron, a psychotherapist, He serves on the Board of Trustees for Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School and is the founder of Raising Queer Voices, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the LGBTQ+ community.

    These roles showcase his commitment to education reform and social advocacy, embodying the values of leadership and community service that Vanderbilt University holds dear, according to the press release.
