(COLORADO) — A new study has found that Colorado ranks near the top for the worst drivers in the country, placing 13th.

According to a study released by Munley Law that analyzed nine metrics from the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration including traffic fatalities, drunk driving, DUI arrests, speeding, and seat belt use.

“Despite technology making cars safer, car accidents remain the leading cause of death for Americans ages one to 54 years old and there were 40,990 fatal crashes last year,” writes the press release sent to FOX21.

The study found Colorado per 100,000 had 12.25 traffic fatalities, 276.58 DUI arrests, 3.97 drunk driving fatalities, and 4.42 speeding fatalities with 87% seatbelt usage.

The study found Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona, and Montana to be the states with the worst drivers.
