BOARDMAN, Ore. -- The City of Boardman is hosting a low cost rabies clinic and offering free dog licensing.

The clinic is Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Boardman City Park.

While dog licensing is free, the rabies shot is $25 per pet.

The City of Boardman said "Rabies is a fatal disease of the brain and spinal cord, caused by a virus carried by mammals. Vaccinating dogs and cats against rabies is essential in protecting loved ones and halting the spread of the disease."

All dog owners who live within city limits are required to have their dog licensed for identification purposes.
