Thursday night, t he Tri-City United baseball team hit the road for a conference doubleheader against the Sibley East Wolverines. The Wolverines struck early and often in game one, defeating the Titans 10-2, before rallying to defeat TCU 6-5 with a pair of runs in the seventh inning.

The Titans scored their two runs in the fifth and sixth innings with Parker O'Malley drawing a bases-loaded walk to get on the board before Hunter Moravec hit an RBI single that scored Max Novotny.

Game two saw the Wolverines strike first again when an error allowed a runner to score from third in the top of the first. In the bottom of the second though, TCU responded when Kellen Jirik brought Keegan O'Meara home, tying the game 1-1.

In the bottom of the third, O'Malley drilled a triple into left that scored Nathan Blaschko followed by an RBI single from Max Krautkremer. The Titans added two more runs in the third when a pair of errors allowed Novotny and Krautkremer to score.

Sibley East clawed slowly back into the game and with a run scored on a fielder's choice in the fifth, TCU's lead was cut to just 5-4. In the top of the seventh, the Wolverines hit a leadoff single and after a stolen base and a strikeout, they tied the game at 5-5 with an RBI single into shallow center field.

After another single, TCU got the second out with a strikeout but a pinch-hitter came in and hit the go-ahead run on an RBI single to left, giving Sibley East 6-5 lead.
