Baires Spinoff Concept Opening on International Drive

According to recent reporting in OBJ , popular International Drive Latin dance club Mango’s Tropical Café will open Corazón by Baires, a fine-dining establishment, this summer.

Joshua Wallack, COO of Miami Beach-based Wallack Holdings told OBJ the team at Baires Grill reached out to him, interested in developing a partnership which has now resulted in the latest addition to the Orlando food scene.

“People who travel, they’re not necessarily used to eating early,” said Wallck. “They’re used to eating at their time, and they’re used to eating in places like New York City or other big cities where you can eat late.

“Big cities need fine dining establishments. Big cities need big city stuff.”

“Corazón by Baires won’t replace club space at Mango’s. Instead, it will be a moveable feast that temporarily inhabits 8,000 square feet of the 49,000-square-foot club seven days a week, from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m,” the report states.

“The vibe of this place will shift so dramatically when the lights go down and the music comes up,” says Wallack.

“Late-night patrons, people that are coming out from shows, they’re either locals or they’re tourists. They’re people that are coming out from the industry — chefs, bartenders, servers. I want them to feel comfortable and welcomed,” he said. “Tourists who have been at the theme parks all day, they don’t want to just eat a sandwich. They want a really nice meal.”
