Emotional: Woman Finds Envelope From Late Mother After She “Asked Her For A Sign”

When we lose someone we love , it’s common to be reminded of them in even the smallest of things. A certain place, song, or food can send us back in time with a cherished memory. This can be all-the-more true on special days, like a birthday. These occasions, of course, can be particularly difficult, especially if you used to spend the day with that person. That’s exactly how Dana Lynn felt on her own birthday, prompting her to ask for a sign from her late mother.

This birthday was especially difficult for Dana. Her mom had only passed a year ago, and it was her very first birthday without her around. When Mom was still alive, she’d often get Dana a nail or massage gift certificate. Thinking of this, and how much she missed her, Dana shares that she asked for a sign that, although gone, her mom is still around. Little did Dana know that she was about to get one heck of a sign.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Dana decides to look through an old purse of hers. In doing so, she discovers something absolutely incredible: an old nail gift certificate from Mom! She had given it to her two years ago for Christmas, but she forgot that she never used it. The timing of finding this is incredible enough, but that’s only half of it.

What makes Dana tear up all-the-more is what she finds written on the certificate. The issue date is missing the year. All that’s written is “202,” making it feel as though this certificate was meant for Dana in the year she found it. Making it feel as though her mom meant for her to find the certificate at this exact moment.

“I believe it was my birthday gift from her!!!” Dana shares, adding , “What do you guys think? A sign from my mom??”

“WOW!!!! The year not ending in anything that was a sign for sure,” one person replies.

“Love this! Grief sucks so any moment you find that brings any peace is so beautiful,” another person shares. “Hold onto them.”
