USGS map shows the location of the earthquake swarm in Baja California.

A swarm of earthquakes hit northern Baja California on Sunday morning, with the biggest registering 4.9 magnitude.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the swarm started at 10:24 a.m. and continued until 12:14 p.m. with over two-dozen temblors.

The quakes were clustered around the Mexican town of Delta, about 30 miles south-southeast of Calexico in Imperial County.

The biggest quake was widely felt in coastal San Diego County, but no damage was reported.

Earthquake swarms have frequently been recorded in the greater Imperial Valley area in recent years.
