Milton overwhelmed another opponent Monday on the softball diamond in Schilberg Park.

Gwen Baker threw a five-inning no-hitter and five Red Hawk hitters drove in multiple runs as they beat DeForest 15-0.

The win is No. 9 Milton’s sixth in a row since a loss to Oregon on April 30. The team has outscored its opponents 64-3 during that stretch, which also included a perfect game thrown by Baker on May 3.

The Butler University recruit had seven strikeouts and walked two Norskies on Monday.

Norskies pitchers Haylin Arnold and Reagan Oughton had difficulty forcing the Red Hawks (18-2, 10-2 Badger Large) to make outs. Arnold also struggled with her control, issuing nine walks.

Ella Knoble went 3 for 3 with four runs scored and two RBI, Kenzie Marquardt was 2 for 2 with three RBI, and Jenna Benash was 2 for 4 with three driven in.

Lynden Briggs and Sophie Mezera both drove in two, as well.

Milton’s next game will be at Watertown at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Goslings and Red Hawks have identical conference records and are a game back of first-place Beaver Dam.
