    Red Lobster to close dozens of restaurants, including Stony Brook location

    Red Lobster is shutting down dozens of restaurants, including one on Long Island.

    According to an online auction company, at least 48 restaurants abruptly closed their doors around the country.

    The restaurant is now selling off items like kitchen equipment and furniture.

    The chain has been considering filing for bankruptcy protection.

    The restaurant closing on Long Island is on Nesconset Highway in Stony Brook.
