ELECTION RESULTS: Dirkers, Greenburg advance in Robbinsdale primary

The city of Robbinsdale held a primary for the Ward 2 council member position May 14. According to unofficial vote tallies, David Dirkers and Jason Greenburg will advance to the Aug. 13 special election.

Dirkers, with 142 votes, earned 44.65% of the vote. Greenberg, with 85 votes, earned 26.73% of the vote.

Kyle Bille, with 62 votes, earned 19.5% of the vote. Christopher James Rasmussen, with 29 votes, earned 9.12% of the vote. No votes were counted for Marc Akerlind.

The Robbinsdale canvassing board meeting will be Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Robbinsdale City Hall, Council Chambers to certify results of the Ward 2 Councilmember special primary election.

Early voting for the Ward 2 Special General Election starts on June 28.
