A dining staple in downtown Elk River will say goodbye this month.

Daddy-O's Cafe, which dates back 58 years, will close its doors Friday, May 24, announced owner Jeff Krueger, who is retiring.

"Over the years we have made many dear friends and such supportive customers. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for the years of loyalty," Krueger shared on Facebook, encouraging the community to share memories and photos "to celebrate the years together."
