BELLINGHAM, Washington - Exciting news for Bellingham residents, Vancouverites, and visitors as Chick-fil-A plans to expand to a location near the US-Canada border. Anticipation is high for the arrival of Chick-fil-A in the area, which city documents highlight plans for a very spacious dual lane drive through.

The planned Chick-fil-A in Bellingham is set to be 5,967 square feet, significantly larger than the typical 4,500 square foot build of most Chick-fil-A locations. This larger size suggests that the Bellingham restaurant will be able to accommodate more customers, which is really important as this location will be the closest Chick-fil-A location to the Vancouver BC metropolitan area, home of 2,642,825 people, and the third largest metro area in Canada.

Chick-fil-A has already completed the pre-application process and has submitted applications for Planned Development, Design Review, Critical Areas, and SEPA. These applications are currently under review, and if everything goes smoothly, Chick-fil-A will be located at 4030 Cordata Parkway, conveniently located between Bellis Fair Mall and W Bakerview Rd, making it easily accessible not only to Bellingham residents but also to those in the Vancouver metropolitan area traveling by either I-5 or Guide Meridian Rd.

One interesting detail that people have noted is the signage near the front door of the proposed building, which reads "Friends and neighbors." This friendly message suggests that Chick-fil-A is eager to become a part of the Bellingham and Vancouver metro communities and build relationships with local residents.
