On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Mayor Toby Barker and city officials joined the Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art to unveil the City’s next large-scale mural titled “Jam Session.” Designed by Mississippi artist Reshonda Perryman and located on the exterior of the Hattiesburg Community Arts Center, this impressive mural is the first in a series that pays tribute to musicians with roots in Hattiesburg. Musicians featured in series 1 include Vasti Jackson, Tom “Bones” Malone, Roosevelt Graves, MS.
