Indeed, Thompson did tell TimeOut that Jonathan Bailey and Regé-Jean Page were his “ canaries in the mine showing me how it’s supposed to be done,” hinting that he’d be season 4’s leading man.

Like the old classic tale of Cinderella, Benedict met Sophie without knowing her name at a ball. When the clock struck midnight, she ran away and Benedict only had a glove to chase after her with. He loses track of her but his determination doesn’t falter. He tries his best to find the woman of his dreams while hiring Sophie not knowing she IS the woman of his dreams. The two end up falling in love with each other, but one thing gets in the way: Sophie is of a lower class.
Lots of issues come up, with Sophie not wanting to have Benedict’s illegitimate child, but he insists that he can take care of any child of his. Through trials and tribulations, he finds out that Sophie was indeed the woman he was chasing all along. Benedict and Sophie marry and have four children.
As for what fans are looking forward to for Benedict’s own season, they said on Reddit, “It’s kinda predictable and cheesy, but I just really loved the ball scene. The entire ball scene, from beginning to end (before Sophie enters to after she leaves and the immediate aftermath). It was just such a nice “twist” on the Cinderella story, and I’m such a sucker for a Cinderella story.”

Who does Benedict fall in love with in Bridgerton season 3?
In season 3 of Bridgerton, Benedict explores his romance with a woman named Lady Tilley Andrew (played by Hannah New). Lady Tilley is a widow who entertains the idea of getting along with Benedict. However, she didn’t appear in any of the books.
“Tilley is an invention. We felt like she was a good match for Benedict because he’s someone who really doesn’t fit in anywhere. He doesn’t feel like he fully fits into society. He didn’t feel like he fully fit into the art world,” Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownel told Today.
She continued, “Once people have their season, they fall to the background a little bit. But actually, by delaying Benedict’s season, we get to send him on more adventures for a little bit longer. And when he eventually gets his season. I’m sure it will be great.”
Who will play Sophie in Bridgerton ?
Many fans theorized that Sophie will be played by Masali Baduza. We also have to take into account that Season 4 hasn’t been announced yet, but there were a plethora of casting clues and clues in her Instagram following record. Baduza reportedly followed a majority of the cast of Bridgerton on her personal Instagram account. A huge piece of evidence that fans gathered includes a casting call for a Black actress who will be “a huge role that will be in one episode this series, but will go onto be leading the next.” This matches with how Sophie could be played off in season 3 of Bridgerton .
