Palmer Candy Company Recall

In the beginning of May 2024, Palmer Candy Company issued a recall for some of its sweet treats due to possible salmonella contamination. Now the company has expanded that recall.

From Caramel Swirl Pretzels to Patriotic White Fudge Cookies, Palmer Candy is urging anyone who purchased white coated confectionary items manufactured by them to return those items to the store of purchase for a full refund.

The products were distributed to South Carolina and 16 other states, and were available for purchase at Walmart, Target, Dollar General and Hy-Vee stores.

Production of the product has been suspended while FDA and the company continue their investigation as to the source of the problem.

According to the FDA, people infected with salmonella can experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. To date, No illnesses have been reported in connection to the possible contamination.
