    COLUMN: Englewood Chamber gears up for annual Golf Par-Tee

    Whether you are a golf enthusiast, or you’ve never played a game in your life, you are sure to enjoy this event. T

    he chamber is hosting a golf scramble July 27 at the Rotonda Golf & Country Club’s Hills Course.

    Check-in is at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

    Team registration is limited to chamber members only. Registration of a team includes:

    Exclusive members-only networkingA round of golf for a foursome and two cartsCompany logo included on back of the commemorative dry fit shirts given to each playerChance for prizes including an opportunity to win a free chamber membershipTwo drink tickets per playerBreakfast provided by The Dearborn CoffeehouseBloody Mary & Screwdriver BarLunch served on the courseFour goodie bags (each team will be able to include an item in each bag)Food, drinks, games, raffles, networking, comradery, laughter, and moreFirst place will receive $100 per player, a trophy, listed on plaque in chamber lobby, listed in a full page ad in 2025 Community Guide, and publicity in The Daily Sun, WENG Radio and social media.Second place will receive $50 per player, a trophy, listed in a full page ad in 2025 Community Guide, and publicity in The Daily Sun, WENG Radio and social media.Third place will receive $25 per player, a trophy, listed in a full page ad in 2025 Community Guide, and publicity in The Daily Sun, WENG Radio and social media.

    The idea is to have Chamber businesses purchase a team of four. Businesses can use their team as employee team building outing, a get-together amongst friends, client appreciation — or you can invite individuals you would like to get to know better to increase business connections.

    Sign sponsors. Have your sign displayed at a tee box. Only twosigns per hole (chamber provides signs), $150Shirt sleeve sponsors. Have your business showcased on the sleeve of the commemorative long sleeve dry fit shirts given to each player, $1,100Bar cart sponsors. Have your business showcased on the bar cart that drives up to everyone on the golf course, $500Tent sponsors. Have your business showcased on the course. You will be assigned a hole where you will set up a tent and hand out food or drinks and interact with every golfer (tent, table, chairs, food, drink, etc. provided by sponsor), $350Bloody Mary & Screwdriver Bar.     LEADERSHIP GRADUATION

    Leadership Englewood Class of 2024 Graduation will be at 5:30 p.m. May 29 in the private room of The Waverly Restaurant.

    Come celebrate the Class of 2024 and all their accomplishments over the year.

    A reception will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the program starting at 6 p.m.

    Guests will enjoy a free drink and have their choice of salmon, chicken Marsala or Flat Iron steak.
