DENVER ( KDVR ) — After a trailer full of irreplaceable World War II 10th Mountain Division artifacts was stolen, some of those historic pieces have been recovered.

On Saturday, the Englewood Police Department confirmed that the trailer and some artifacts had been returned.

In April, FOX31’s Dan Daru spoke to Dave Little , the founder of the 10th Mountain Division Living History Display Group.

“We provide museum-quality exhibits in outdoor settings. We do it for public venues. We do it for other museums. We do it for the Army, U.S. Forest Service, anybody who is looking for information about the 10th Mountain Division,” Little said.

Colorado mountains once hosted the famous 10th Mountain Division

Some of those artifacts were stolen when Little’s neighbor caught the all-too-familiar scene on a doorbell camera.

While some of the artifacts have been recovered, Englewood police said others are still missing. Detectives are still working to identify a suspect.

If you have any information on the remaining artifacts or information on a suspect, you are asked to contact the police.
