Imagine paying $60K a year to send your child to one of the best art schools in America only for them to skip class and color with sidewalk chalk outside the school 🤦‍♂️ college campuses should of course allow the first amendment rights of students to protest with peaceful orderly demonstrations like the sit-ins and drum circles throughout our history where protesters show their faces and invite cameras to document and hear their grievances, but once they devolve into chaotic scenes of masked lunatics (many not even students), blocking news media claiming they’re being “doxxed” (for protesting?🤦‍♂️), flag burning, camping out with tents and trashing the place, pestering/blocking actual students from accessing classes (especially dependent upon their race or religion), that’s where campuses need to draw the line and crackdown. The first amendment protects your right to voice your opinions peacefully and lawfully, it does not cover angry mobs of agitators breaking laws and school policies.
