Here's Where You Can Ski Memorial Day Weekend

Snowbird Mountain Resort | Snowbird, UT

It's Snowbird Surf Season. Snowbird has received 603 inches of snow this season and has a base depth of 99 inches. You can work on your goggle tan while skiing and riding at Snowbird through Monday, May 27, 2024. Lifts will run on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday starting at 8:00 a.m. Little Cloud will close daily at 12:30 p.m., Mineral Basin will close daily at 1:00 p.m., Peruvian Tunnel will close daily at 1:00 p.m., the Aerial Tram will close daily at 2:00 p.m., and Peruvian Express will close daily at 2:00 p.m. There is no beginner terrain available right now. Starting May 18, you can buy spring lift tickets online ahead of time and save 20 percent. If you have already purchased your Snowbird 2024-'25 Season Pass, skiing and riding this weekend are included with your pass.

SeventyOne, The Forklift, General Gritts, The Atrium, the Subie Shack, and Baked and Brewed Cafe will be open for breakfast. The Summit, SeventyOne, The Forklift, General Gritts, Tram Car Pizza, Baked and Brewed Cafe, the Subie Shack, and Birdfeeder will be open for lunch. The Aerie, The Tram Club, SeventyOne, and Steak Pit will be open for dinner.

Snowbird is currently offering discounted lodging stays at The Cliff Lodge with rates as low as $262 per night, The Inn with rates as low as $182 per night, The Lodge at Snowbird with rates as low as $216 per night, and The Cliff Club with rates as low as $292 per night.

Palisades Tahoe | Olympic Valley, CA

Palisades Tahoe has received 423 inches of snow this season and has a base of 94 inches. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy one last hurrah of lift rides on the Aerial Tram, Funitel, Siberia Express, Gold Coast Express, Bailey's Beach, Mountain Meadow, Big Blue Express, Shirley Lake Express, and Granite Chief from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Memorial Day Weekend.

If you want to ski or ride on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, you can buy the Spring Ticket Trio for three lift tickets at Palisades Tahoe. You can also purchase the Spring Ticket Trio and share with friends or family -- they are valid for any day for all age groups with no restrictions. A single adult lift ticket will cost between $113 and $142 for Memorial Day Weekend.

Several restaurants and bars will be open for business through Memorial Day Weekend, but hours may vary from regular season hours so check the site for the most up-to-date information.

The Village at Palisades Tahoe has lodging available for $300 to $1,000 per night. You can stay in a studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom suite. There are 16 unit types available with amenities like a full kitchen, laundry services, fitness centers, hot tubs, and a billiards lounge.

Mammoth Mountain | Mammoth Lakes, CA

Mammoth Mountain has received 367 inches of snowfall recorded at the Main Lodge for the 2023-'24 season. The base at the summit is 55 inches. Mammoth's Second Season is in full swing with plenty of sunshine, apres events, and spring skiing and snowboarding. All slope access is based out of The Mill and Main Lodge base areas. Lifts will be spinning Memorial Day Weekend from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Unbound Express, Chair 23, Stump Alley Express, Gold Rush Express, Panorama Lower and Upper, Face Lift Express, Discovery Express, and High Five Express are expected to be spinning, conditions depending.

The Mammoth Yacht Club is back for Memorial Day Weekend! Festivities will include a boat race on May 25 at 11:00 a.m. and live music Friday through Monday starting at 11:00 a.m. Eventgoers are encouraged to wear their most seaworthy costumes. You can buy a single adult lift ticket for $149 on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and $129 on Monday.
