The Rice Lake Fortnightly Club’s senior girl honoree for May is Natalie Nolin, daughter of Erin and Jake Nolin. She was recognized at its May 14 meeting.

The senior maintains a 3.96 GPA and was inducted into the National Honor Society in her junior and senior years and has received academic honors each year of high school.

She has been very involved within clubs, volunteering more than 60 hours throughout her junior and senior years. On the Warrior Leadership Team and student council, she volunteered her time toward events to create a better environment throughout the school. With Future Business Leaders she helped organize events to raise money for the community. In Family, Career and Community Leaders of America she assisted with events to help bring families together and supply the less fortunate.

In sports, Nolin has been on the varsity tennis team all four years of high school. She was a captain of the tennis team her senior year, and was a state tournament qualifier in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

She has participated in varsity soccer all four years. During her senior year she became the high school team’s career assist leader.

As a skier, Nolin has been involved in the varsity downhill ski team all four years, individually going to state as a sophomore and as a team her junior year.

Not only does she volunteer her time in so many services, but the senior works too. Her forms of employment have included T.J.Maxx associate at the present, Clean Boats Clean Waters inspector, Rice Lake Weighing Systems as an intern in human resources and many years of babysitting.

Nolin stated that her most important contribution to either high school or community was teaching young children how to play tennis while influencing them to participate at the high school level, which will ultimately boost their school involvement, along with their physical health and mental well-being.
