Pierce Scholarships presented to Delaware nursing students

LEWES — Two nursing students in their senior years at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare have been awarded the 2024 Dr. Carl G. Pierce Jr. Scholarships.

Kasey McNatt of Middletown and Hannah Rossi of Bear were named recipients of the prizes, based on their exceptional academic performance in maternal, child and family health nursing, and for their caring and professional attitudes and interest in pediatrics, according to a news release.

The scholarship was initiated by Dr. Pierce’s spouse and her children in his memory. He was a physician at Beebe from 1951-87.

They were presented by Dr. Pierce’s son, Carl Pierce, and his daughter, Meredith Cox.
