GOSHEN, Ind. — Fairfield Community Schools has launched a new onsite health clinic dedicated to providing complimentary medical services for its employees. The clinic, which offers care for chronic medical conditions, acute issues, and routine wellness check-ups, aims to enhance the overall health and wellness of the school staff.

"By offering this clinic, we aim to decrease the number of claims submitted to our healthcare plan," explained Brittany Rosenberry, the human resource director for Fairfield Community Schools. "As healthcare claims significantly impact insurance costs, our objective is to maintain stable premiums while keeping our expenses low. Moreover, this clinic plays a vital role in reducing absenteeism and promoting overall health and wellness among our employees."

The clinic's services extend beyond just medical visits. It will offer over 100 lab tests at no charge and provide a comprehensive list of generic medications free of cost. These extensive services are accessible to all staff members enrolled in the school corporation's health plan.

An Open House event is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., allowing the public to tour the new facility. Attendees are encouraged to park in the Fairfield Jr. / Sr. High School parking lot, conveniently located across the street from the clinic.

The establishment of this onsite clinic is a strategic move by Fairfield Community Schools to manage healthcare costs while fostering a healthier work environment. By providing easily accessible health services, the school corporation aims to mitigate the frequency of insurance claims and maintain affordable insurance premiums for its employees. This initiative also addresses absenteeism, ensuring that staff members have the necessary support to stay healthy and present at work.

Overall, the clinic is a significant addition to the resources available to Fairfield Community Schools staff, underscoring the district's commitment to employee health and well-being.
