On Tuesday, the musician took to Instagram to give his stamp of approval for the Netflix drama’s stripped-down version of “Give Me Everything” (also featuring Ne-Yo and Afrojack) — as heard during Colin and Penelope’s steamy carriage ride in Episode 4.
“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless,” he wrote. “Thank you @bridgertonnetflix and @netflix for the opportunity, Dale!”
As you recall of that titillating moment, a rejected Penelope was headed home in her family’s carriage when Colin — SPOILER ALERT — hopped in and confessed his feelings. This led to a handsy ride to the Bridgerton home in an unforgettable scene highlighted by the unexpected Pitbull feature, culminating with Colin bringing Penelope inside to announce their intent to marry. (Read our breakdown of how the series elevated that scene from the book here.)
Season 3, Part 2 arrives Thursday, June 13 on Netflix. The remaining four episodes have plenty to address, including how Penelope continues to navigate her Lady Whistledown secret now that she’s with Colin; Francesca’s burgeoning romance with John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin; Lady Danbury’s strained relationship with her brother Lord Marcus Anderson; and whether Penelope’s falling out with Eloise is permanent.
