The win, as well as the shutout, marked the second in as many days for the Clippers against the Oakers following Sunday’s 10-0 rout in Cumberland.“We’re playing good team baseball right now,” head coach Jared Cardoso said of the defending D-I champs (12-5), who have won three in a row and five of their last six.Monday’s game featured steady production throughout the lineup, particularly the middle portion, with the 4-6 batters accounting for four of the team’s six total hits and half of their RBI. First baseman and cleanup hitter, Joshua Lyon led the way, going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored during the team’s five-run sixth, while left fielder Luke Plumer, batting fifth in the order, followed suit with two RBI of his own while also scoring a run.That steady level of production and team-oriented hitting is exactly what Cardoso has been looking for since Day One.For the full story, please see our digital or print edition.</div></body>
