On Monday, the Waconia boys golf team had a home conference meet and came home with first place.

“It was our first conference win of the year, so that was great,” said coach Don Skerik.

Riley Baisch, Jadan Ford, and Ryder Haskins all had 76's, Evan Marsden 78, Gavin Schneider 79, and Karsen Herman 82.

On Tuesday, Waconia traveled to Ridges for an invitational and finished in the middle of the pack.

“We just were not sharp, made some mental errors and didn't play the way we wanted,” said Skerik.

Riley Baisch played well, firing a 73, Ryder Haskins and Jadan Ford 82, Evan Marsden 83, Gavin Schneider 87, Karsen Herman 88.

On Wednesday, the Wildcats had their second conference meet in New Prague and finished fourth. Ryder Haskins, Jadan Ford, and Karsen Herman all had 79's, Riley Baisch and Evan Marsden 80, Gavin Schneider 83.

“We are focusing on the mental side of golf and how to train your brain to be positive,” said Skerik.
