Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A brand new concert venue and event space is ready for its debut at the Buffalo Outer Harbor along the Lake Erie shoreline.

"It's right along the water and absolutely gorgeous," said Buffalo Waterfront general manager Lauren Ford of the new Terminal B amphitheater.

"It's a brand new stage and facilities. A gorgeous park space. Everyone
who has come by is just in awe of what's happening here."

Terminal B will host its first sold out show on Friday when Chappell Roan performs. See the full schedule here .

Ford said capacity for the venue will be kept at six thousand this year to make
sure that people can arrive and exit easily, as it is one way in and one way out.

"We work very closely with the Buffalo Police to help people get out of the parking lots. We're comfortable with six thousand this year, but might expand it in future seasons."

Parking is on site. It's free on a first come, first serve basis. There is additional parking on Fuhrmann Boulevard. For anyone coming on a bicycle, there is a Reddy Bikeshare location at the entrance to the venue as well as a secure place for other bikes.

"It has gorgeous water views, there is park space and sloped lawns," Ford explained. "Blankets will be available for sale or bring your own. We have a brand new bar facility, partnering with Hartman's Distilling at our VIP bar. It's going to be a wonderful location in the city to see a concert."

Town Ballroom assisted in producing the scheduled concerts.

Ford also noted there will be two free concerts with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra this Summer.

"We're excited to partner with the BPO. One is the Music of Harry Potter on July 19. The other is the BPO with the Strictly Hip on August 1. Free tickets must be reserved online.

In all, 16 concerts are scheduled, and one or two more may be added.

The venue at Terminal B is cashless. Only credit and debit cards will be accepted.
