Jennifer Lopez Just Spoke Out For the 1st Time On Ben Affleck Divorce Rumors After Reports ‘He Can’t Change Her’

Their relationship is making headlines everywhere, and Jennifer Lopez finally said something about her Ben Affleck divorce rumors. The “On The Floor” singer shut down a reporter when they inquired about her relationship.

J-Lo appeared in Mexico City with her co-star Simu Liu to promote their new Netflix film Atlas . “Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?” a reporter asked in Spanish in a video clip. “What is the truth? Para le press le Mexicana [for the Mexican press], what is the truth of the situation?”

Amid a chorus of sighs and before J-Lo could put in her two cents, her co-star Simu Liu said, “OK, we’re not doing that,” adding: “C’mon, don’t come in with that energy, please.” Jennifer then looks directly at the reporter and says, “You know better than that.”

The cast of Atlas didn’t respond to the question, but Simu took a moment to applaud J-Lo’s accomplishments on the movie. “If I can just end on one thing,” Simu told press at the junket. “Jen is a producer on this movie and the reason why I am here and the reason Sterling is in this beautiful movie is because Jen cares. Jen cares about things like representation and diversity. Jen is a boss.”

Fans took to social media to react to the moment praising J-Lo about her professionalism. “See how classy and respectful she was? Personally I would’ve cursed him out,” one person wrote on X. Another wrote, “It is unprofessional to ask about her personal life, marriage in that space. She is there to talk about the movie. Putting her on the spot like that is rude.”

Another source told Us Weekly that the two are trying to work it out and that divorce is not on the table, but they are having frequent arguments. “Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage,” the insider disclosed, adding that it started “a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour.”

In J.Lo’s documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told , Ben admitted that there were hiccups on the way to a total reunion, “Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.’ Then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of, like, you’re going to marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t want the water.’ We’re trying to learn to compromise.”
