What Josh McDonald did not state in this article is that the deficit was carried over from the last administration. Between the last clerk overestimating the revenue and the old commissioners spending money like the federal government, we were in a 3 million dollar shortfall. Since the county budget is around 17 million, and the taxpayers contribute 5 million of that, we rely heavily on grants. DO NOT RAISE TAXES ON THE CITIZENS OF SHOSHONE COUNTY!!!
