Divisions are available for players born from 2011 to 2020; teams will be formed for those born 2006 to 2010 based on interest. Registration is $140 for a full year of soccer, and scholarships are available. Players stay with the same team for fall (September through early November) and spring sessions (April through early June). Evanston AYSO is an all-volunteer organization that operates through the work of over 200 volunteers each year. Additional adult and teenage volunteer coaches and referees are needed to allow all interested kids a chance to play. Training is provided for volunteers. Coaches are especially needed for the divisions of current six to seven year olds (8U). If you played soccer growing up, please consider volunteering to create a great sports experience for the next generation and make sure all kids who want to play soccer have the opportunity. All games are on Sunday afternoons in Evanston. 8U and older divisions have a practice, scheduled by the team’s coaches, during the week. Everyone plays at least half of every game. Kids under 12 play small-sided games ensuring players are engaged and have many opportunities to be actively involved in each game. Evanston AYSO is focused on player development, positive coaching, and good sportsmanship. All players are welcome regardless of background or skill level. Teams are formed to try to balance players’ experience levels to encourage competitive games. Evanston AYSO is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for players and families of all backgrounds and identities. A program, EPIC, is also available for youth and adult players with physical, mental, or emotional needs that prevent them from participating in a typical soccer program.
