French and Darcy named Lakeridge High School Athletes of the Week for May 22

French is a junior on the Pacers’ varsity girls’ lacrosse team, and Darcy is a junior on the varsity boys’ lacrosse team.

Bringing talent to both the boys’ and girls’ varsity lacrosse teams, athletes Avery French and Nolan Darcy have been named Lakeridge High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of May 22nd.

French, a junior midfielder on the varsity girls’ lacrosse team, scored nine goals against Wilsonville on April 30, including the final three to send the Pacers into overtime, and then scored the winning goal. “[French] is the heart of our team,” her coach said. “She is a highly skilled player, an incredible teammate, and a wonderful person. She cares deeply about our team and is always willing to do whatever she can to help us succeed.”

On the varsity boys’ lacrosse team, junior goalie Darcy has been a crucial factor in the Pacers’ success this season. “[Darcy] plays the most demanding position on the field,” his coach said. “We not only depend on him to stop opponents' shots, but he is also responsible for clearing the ball out of our defensive end and communicating directions to our defenders.”
