Sold-out Chappell Roan show kicks off Outer Harbor Concert Series

A sold-out crowd of 6,000 fans came to see pop artist Chappell Roan kick off the Outer Harbor Concert Series on Friday night.

The Midwest Princess Tour is the first concert to take place at the Outer Harbor's new $13 million venue, Terminal B .

Fans traveled to the Queen City from all over the country for the massive event.

"I traveled six hours. I'm from Connecticut," said fan Evelyn Bucker. "For Chappell, thank you for creating a space where everybody can be themselves."

Other fans attending the sold-out show say Chappell Roan's music helps them feel comfortable being themselves.

"This is one of the few artists in the industry right now that makes music specifically for women, specifically for lesbian women," said fan Jordan Daniell. "It's comforting to know that there's a queer artist looking out for you."

"I've never really felt like I've found an artist who's talked about being gay in the sort of way that she has," said fan Valentine Lance. "It's rare for me to find an artist like her."
