Plans for Houston’s annual Independence Day parade have been announced.

A parade is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in downtown Houston. It is organized by the Houston branch of West Plains Bank.

This year’s grand marshals are Korean War veterans. Those who served during that era are invited to meet at the Houston Storm Shelter parking lot at First and Pine streets before the parade starts.

Those wishing to participate in the parade can visit the West Plains Bank and Trust Co. branch on South Sam Houston Blvd. or email: houstontellers@westplainsbank.com .

Veterans will serve a meal that day at the Lone Star Plaza at Grand Avenue and Pine Street in Houston.
