I know this article is not necessarily about this. it's more about preparation so this is not a shot at the author. it just seems like a good place to bring up the point since it mentioned evacuation routes. I thumbed through and found no mention of Hwy . 90 being closed at several bridges due to their disrepair. Hwy. 9p is a major evacuation route as well and it was shut down over a year ago past Hwy. 190. I heard earlier this year that it is now shut down at cheff pass bridge. last I heard the plans to fix this are years out. This is absolutely pathetic that our state officials let their get to this point. These bridges did not get like this over night due to some accident. They are rotting away while I state officials get fat bank accounts from the money that is supposed to repair them. Now we are shutting down a major evacuation route for several years. Purely pathetic.
