Friday marked the end of an era for more than 600 young adults who called Walton High their school.

The former students received their high school diplomas during a commencement ceremony at Kennesaw State University’s convocation center in Kennesaw.

The achievement was noted by the east Cobb school’s valedictorian, Ethan Ju, in his commencement address.

“None of this massive growth spurt would of been possible without the unwavering support of our teachers and mentors, so let’s raise a very nonalcoholic and imaginary toast to those who have taught us for the past four years,” Ju said.

Ju concluded by also thanking his fellow graduates and their families.

“Thank you for the memories, the laughter and the countless lessons learned. It’s been an honor and a privilege to share this journey with you all,” Ju said.
