to Eric Hansen! please don't forget about equestrians when you talk about trail usage!! We have historically LOVED taking our horses up to the trails to ride. They are close by,, so that means not having to trailer transport them for miles before we can get them out for a refreshing ride through the beautiful forest surrounding us. We used to be able to do this- and then more and more trails were cut off from equestrians. Maybe because of not wanting bikes and horses on trails at the same time- worries of horse getting 'spooked' and bolting, throwing their rider, or running into a cyclist - with serious injury, from these scenarios a distinct possibility. But,when 90% of the trails are now closed off to us horse trail-users, that is very unfair. We are citizens of Ashland, too. We live, work, pay our taxes here. We deserve equal representation in Ashland trails usage availability. My solution is to 'stagger' usage- on days and hours.
