Perquimans County Library summer events

The following is the program schedule for June at the Perquimans County Library:

• Friday at 5:30 p.m. — Book signing with local author Donna Beitzel

• June 12 at 3 p.m. — Perquimans Page Turners Book Club meets

• June 13 at 5 p.m. — PQ Explorers Club meets

• June 15 at 11 a.m. — Daddy and Me Day

• June 18 at 2 p.m. — Juneteenth afternoon of music with Joel Taylor

• June 26 at 3 p.m. — NC Reads Book Club meets

Storytime is every Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The Summer Reading Program, sponsored in part by the Friends of Perquimans County Library, kicks off June 12 at 2 p.m. with a visit by representatives from Sylvan Heights Bird Park. Other programs include:

• June 25 at 2 p.m. — Dana Hill the Magician

• July 3 at 2 p.m. — Movie Day

• July 10 at 2 p.m. — Sam Pollock of theEdenton National Fish Hatchery

• July 17 at 2 p.m. — Nature Out Loud

• July 23 at 2 p.m. — NC Symphony Music Discovery

• July 31 at 2 p.m. — OBX Lizard Land

• Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. — End of Summer Party.

This year’s Summer Reading program will feature bingo cards for teens and adults to pick up. Participants can return completed cards to the library by Aug. 7 to be entered into drawings for free Amazon gift cards.
