JOHN WEPT

Revelation 5:1-4; And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

And no man in heaven, nor in the earth, neither under the earth was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

Apostle John, banished to Patmos prison for his testimony of Jesus Christ, was caught up in the Spirit and shown heavenly things.

He describes a throne, and saw a book (scroll) in the right hand of the One sitting on the throne. When the angel asks “Who is worthy to open the book,” John realizes that no man was found worthy to open this book.

This realization made John weep much, many tears, for all the angelic beings were not worthy, the twenty four elders who continually bow before the Lord, wasn’t worthy, the four beasts who cry Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty, wasn’t. And John wept.

Surely there is someone who has walked the earth, Noah, a preacher of righteousness, Abraham, the friend of God, David, a man after Gods own heart, Isaiah, who saw the LORD high and lifted up! Surely there is someone worthy!

What about my fellow apostles, what great things they did for the kingdom of God, not them either? And John wept.

Revelation 5:5; And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not, behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof.

Dry your tears John, there Is someone worthy! He is worthy to receive Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Honor, Glory, and Blessing.

He is the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. Our Redeemer, our Savior, our help and hope, our Healer, and Intercessor!

Our Lord, our God, our King and He’s worthy of all praise and glory and worship! He’s worthy of it all, JESUS, yes! He’s worthy of it all!
