Jury deliberations continue in Trump hush money trial

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – It’s the beginning of the end for the Trump trial hush money case as the jury began deliberations Wednesday but no verdict has come out.

The country now plays the waiting game for the results.

The jury was dismissed Wednesday around 4 p.m.  The jurors must consider all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and the jurors must be unanimous.

“Nobody knows what the crime is because there’s no crime,” said Trump.

Former president Donald Trump and the rest of the country must now wait for the 12 jurors to deliver a verdict in the hush money trial.

“We already have the win,” said Trump.

Outside the courtroom Trump continued to accuse the judge of putting him into an unfair situation.

“If we had a fair judge this case would have been over a long time ago,” said Trump.

The jury will determine whether Trump is guilty of 34 felony charges of falsifying business records involving hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.

“The jurors have to talk about who they believe, who they disbelieve, why they disbelieve, why they believe,” said retired trial judge Gregory Mize.

Georgetown Law professor Gregory Mize says this could be a lengthy deliberation considering how much the jurors need to go over.

“It is a big task, but I, I think anything’s possible and I, I wouldn’t dare predict what’s going to happen in this case,” said Mize.

The jurors sent two notes Wednesday afternoon: one requesting to re-hear the judge’s jury instructions and the other asking to be read back some testimony from witnesses Michael Cohen and David Pecker.

The judge has said the jury can work until 6 p.m. each day going forward.
