Chris Hemsworth In Talks to Lead Transformers & G.I. Joe Crossover Movie Cast

Chris Hemsworth is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Transformers / G.I. Joe crossover movie.

Per Deadline , Hemsworth is being eyed to play a character in the forthcoming Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover movie that is based on the line of Hasbro Toys.

Details surrounding Hemsworth’s potential role remain under wraps at this time. Hemsworth is notably voicing Optimus Prime/Orion Pax in Paramount Pictures’ Transformers One, which releases in United States theaters this December.

What else do we know about the Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover?

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which was released in 2023, hinted that a G.I. Joe crossover was coming. Paramount then officially announced a G.I. Joe/Transformers movie was coming in April 2024, though it remains unclear whether any characters from previous entries in either franchise will reprise their roles.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto, and Don Murphy are producing the movie, while Steven Spielberg and Hasbro Entertainment serve as executive producers.

Hemsworth is best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also played George Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot, which was released in 2019, and recently starred as the villainous Dementus in George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which is currently playing in United States theaters.
